The 4 Piece Small Band
The Salsa Kingz SMALL BAND is our compact and intimate ensemble. Although it in not intended to be a party band such as our Signature 7 piece band or our Flagship 10 piece band, it is still a great choice for entertaining small events such as dinner parties, home gatherings or restaurants where soft background music is required. The ensemble will have your guests entertained with some of the best Latin/English tunes we have on offer. As a trio we can also accommodate some renowned upbeat tunes to keep your event bright and happy, without compromising on sophistication and elegance.
The SMALL BAND is also available as a Duo or Trio

About Salsa Kingz®
The Salsa Kingz® are a multi award winning show band, proudly representing Latin music down under. From their pioneering days as Sonora Galaxia, they have collectively entertained audiences for over three decades. In 2004 they rebranded as Salsa Kingz® to inspire a new generation of music lovers. What sets them apart is their strong showmanship and ability to seamlessly perform hits in English and Spanish. They are also uniquely positioned as the only official band for Australia's Ricky Martin Tribute Show.
Salsa Kingz® have successfully combined popular Latin tunes with classic Aussie anthems. This adds a unique recipe to their performances, a combination that has propelled them as one of the nations most successful Latin bands. Their shows usually consist of a fun-packed Salsa Dance lesson that has truly become their flagship style. Their ability to engage audiences and wow the crowd are second to none, making them a real party favourite down under.
Whilst keeping true to their Latin heritage, they remain a potent and pivotal force in the exciting Aussie “Salsa dance scene". This highly energised Show Band specialises in creating a "party atmosphere" like no other, guaranteeing to enthuse even the most demanding of audiences up on their feet! The best way to experience their unique energy is to catch them perform LIVE on stage, churning out their hot Salsa and Merengue tunes, with their super-tight brass arrangements, explosive Latin percussion with impassioned vocalists.
The band was formed by the founding band leader: Christian Guerrero, who is no stranger to the Latin scene. He was a former musician & band leader of the renowned "Sonora Galaxia" Band (1991-2002), extensively performing at many iconic venues including the Millennium Opera House NYE Concert and the closing party of the Sydney Olympics 2000. They have worked alongside many famous artists, such as the legendary Trombonist Jimmy Bosch from the USA, Jose Feliciano, Nicola Di Bari, Vanessa Amorosi, Jimmy Barnes, John Paul Young, Denni Hines, Savage Garden just to name a few.
In 2007 Sonora Galaxia was acquired by Christian Guerrero T/A Salsa Kingz ®. In 2008 Salsa Kingz started making waves in the industry and was nominated for best show band in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011. It wasn't until 2014 & 2015 where Salsa Kingz finally won the "ACE AWARDS" for BEST SHOW BAND two years in a row.
